The third Myriad Black full length was recorded at my home studio between November 2018 and May 2021. It is comprised entirely of demos I tracked during that period.

Originally conceived as an EP around the track "Almagest", finding the right combination of 3-4 songs from about 20 demos proved too difficult a task. Around January of 2021, I decided to convert the EP idea into a full length as I felt I had a solid batch of demos that worked well together. Not wanting to split up these tracks into two releases separated by years, I sat down and decided on seven potential songs from my cache of demos, then wrote three final songs (Manifest Density, Formdestroyer, Ghosts in the God Machine) in the recording process to make ten songs for the album. I finished up the recordings around April and finished up mixing in early May.

Thanks to the few of you who enjoy these releases, friends who eagerly inquired as to "when the next album will be completed" (it was actually a question of this nature which made me change directions from an EP to an LP). Thank you to my mother, and all of my family, for their support. Finally, thank you to my lovely partner Miranda who is always knocking on my door and trying to hear snippets of the music I lock myself in my studio for hours at a time to create.

This album is, selfishly, dedicated to me. I've spent the greater part of two years with these songs, and I've heard them evolve so dramatically, improving every time I sit down at my computer, into a wall-of-sound effect that I have been seeking and working to execute since I conceived Myriad Black. It feels good to finally release it, but I know I have a lot of work to do to become the musician and producer I want to be.
